Richard Shepherd

Richard became owner of El Mar La Mar Restaurant in March 2006 and has been in Spain since May 2003, he was involved with opening the restaurants at a local resort here in Almeria. In January 2005 he was asked to consult for one of the world’s largest restaurant companies and returned to London initially for a month but then agreed to stay longer staying for six months. After taking time out Richard approached the previous owner of El Mar La Mar making him an offer for the restaurant and as they say the rest is history.

Richard has a wealth of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, gained from a successful career in the UK.

Richard is committed to providing quality well priced food with efficient friendly service which seems to be a winning formula as El Mar La Mar has grown from strength to strength.
