Welcome to Restaurant El Mar La Mar

Located on the coastal road from Palomares to Villaricos, the restaurant is on the corner opposite the right turn into the traditional fishing village of Villaricos. With fantastic sea views and both alfresco and indoor dining areas, including our glazed gallery and covered terraces, El Mar La Mar offers a variety of settings to suit every mood.

Our private dining room, the salon Alberti comfortably accommodating up to twenty guests, named after the famous Spanish poet whose poem El Mar La Mar was the inspiration for the restaurants name. El Mar La Mar is fully air conditioned with ample parking providing both smoking and non smoking dining areas with easy access for people with disabilities including separate disabled toilets.

El Mar La Mar is the ideal location for all tastes, from raciones, (small portions a typical Spanish way of eating) enjoyed relaxing at the bar or enjoying a meal at one of our seated areas. Our famous four course menu del dia is available lunchtimes Monday to Saturday, our a la carte menu offering the finest Spanish and Mediterranean dishes or our grill menu, Menu La Mar are always available all complemented with a selection of daily specials.

House specialities include Arroz con Bogavante a type of paella made with lobster, Paletilla de Cordero braised shoulder of lamb glazed in the oven with honey and rosemary and our selection of prime steaks.

Sunday Lunch is always a special day offering traditional Spanish and not so Spanish roasts such as suckling pig or roast sirloin of beef to complement our a la carte menu.
